Chayil did a phenomenal job as our wedding photographer, we would highly recommend her! Weddings with a first look typically need at least 7 hours of coverage so we can photograph your getting-ready moments, portraits, ceremony, and reception details without rushing.

For couples planning a sparkler exit, 8–10 hours of photography is ideal. Exits themselves take about 15 minutes, but full-day coverage allows us to document the reception, dancing, and everything that builds up to that final, unforgettable moment.

For getting-ready photos, set aside at least 1 hour so we can capture details, final touch-ups, and those early moments with your wedding party. If you’d like me to photograph getting ready through the reception, most couples need at least 6 hours of coverage.

If you love the idea of photos of your guests dancing, celebrating, and having the time of their lives, reception coverage is a must. So much of your wedding happens before the reception, but some of the best and most candid moments happen during it — especially with guests who weren’t part of your family portraits.
To capture both the earlier portions of the day and the reception, most couples book at least 6 hours, and with a first look, getting ready, or a planned exit, 8–10 hours is ideal.

Full-day wedding coverage (6 hours or more) is designed to document your story from the meaningful beginnings through the final celebrations. Coverage typically includes getting-ready moments and details, portraits or a first look, the ceremony, and reception coverage through events like toasts, dancing, and exits. This approach allows your day to unfold naturally, without rushing or missing the in-between moments that matter most.

FILM SCANS
Full-day wedding collections include premium 35mm film photography, with 5–10+ hand-selected scans. Film adds a layer of depth and nostalgia, capturing moments with texture, softness, and an unmistakably timeless feel.

SHOOTING
A second photographer is included for part of the day to ensure broader coverage and added perspective. This allows us to capture overlapping moments, candid interactions, and multiple angles without rushing the flow of the day.

I cannot even begin to write a review that expresses how obsessed I am with the photos and service we received from Chayil McGlotten, she truly knocked it out of the park. Chayil’s positive energy and friendly personality brings exactly the tone you need for your day. You could not find a better photographer if you’re looking for true to color, gorgeous photos, showcasing the love and story of the day, all while she also acts as the best hype woman you could ask for. I cannot recommend her and her team at Black Pepper Photography enough.
We did our engagement photos at our venue, which ended up being on a fairly dreary day, but Chayil’s amazing skills still managed to highlight the beauty of the location and our excitement. She is incredibly easy to work with, quickly making us comfortable (especially my husband who is not a huge fan of taking pictures) by alternating smoothly between suggesting poses and taking candid photos if we were naturally in a good position. It was so hard to pick just a few photos for our Save the Dates when we received so many, despite having booked just a 30 minute session.
On the wedding day, Chayil arrived with amazing energy, helping ease my nerves about the timeline and making sure I got every photo I wanted and then some! She also brought the videographer, Michael, who made the most stunning wedding video highlighting our special day. We have received our sneak peaks, and every photo is better than the last, they are all so flattering and gorgeous. Black Pepper Photography documented our day better than I could have ever dared to dream - thank you!!!
